FTPing to your website.

To upload files to your website, you must use an FTP client, like SmartFTP.
  • Fill in your user name and password appropriately.
  • Make sure you're set to use port 21. This is the default.


For domain owners:
  • The host name should be www.mydomainname.com.
  • Once you've logged in, you'll need to upload your files to the /www/htdocs directory. (Using SmartFTP, you would move to this directory by double-clicking on 'www' then on 'htdocs'. Upload your pictures here.


For basic website owners:
  • The host name should be www.boston.quik.com.
  • Once you've logged in, you may upload all of your web files here.


To upload with SmartFTP:
Once connected, you can upload the files you need by dragging them into SmartFTP session box from a different window, such as Windows Explorer or just a normal window.
